Introduction
ADML is an eBook consortium made of libraries located in the counties served by RSA. ADML contracts with Overdrive to provide this service. It was founded in 2010 and is governed by the ADML Selection Committee. RSA serves as its fiscal agent and provides billing to member libraries and holds the contract with Overdrive.

Selection of Resources
The ADML Selection Committee is the governing body of the Alliance Digital Media Library. Made up of a team of volunteers from member libraries, the Selection Committee members maintain the consortium collection. Members of the committee agree to actively participate in training and to read Overdrive communication. They make purchases with the goals of making the best use of the consortium’s budget while minimizing wait time for patrons and offering a broad selection of titles.
Members of the public who have suggestions about items to add to Libby should make the request within the Libby app or to staff at their home library.

Advantage and Advantage Plus
Members of ADML may choose to become Advantage members with Overdrive. This program allows consortium members the ability to offer additional titles exclusively to their patrons to reduce wait times, offer additional titles and create custom collections. Libraries interested in becoming an Advantage Library should contact Overdrive. The billing for that part of ADML is handled separately. An ADML consortium member who has an Advantage Collection can expand access to the consortium to improve title selection, availability and circulation for all members of the shared collection. Advantage Libraries can customize how they share to Advantage Plus, and it will run automatically. Because of the value that sharing advantage titles offers to the entire consortium in helping to reduce hold times and expand title offerings, ADML offers a $500 rebate to member libraries who are Advantage Plus libraries.
Communication and Help Documents
In order to receive important information and updates regarding ADML, sign up for the Alliance Overdrive Group listserv by sending an email to the RSA Help Desk at
To send an email to the listserv, use:
Access OverDrive help documents on the ADML website. They provide help categories, videos, individual device help topics or you can just search for what you need help on.
Access the OverDrive Marketplace site. You’ll need to use the username and password for your library. From this site you can access reports, open support tickets with OverDrive, reset patron downloads, update patron account numbers (move holds and checkouts from an old RSA user ID to a new RSA user ID) and more. Email the RSA Help Desk () if you don’t know your library’s login info. If your library has an Advantage account, this is also where you would order Advantage items and see your invoices.
