Registration

Please use L2 to register for events. Access instructions and other details will be sent to registrants before the workshop. Library staff who are interested in attending this training should ensure that they have the permission of their supervisor before registering. 

Minimum registration is at least three staff, ideally from three different RSA member libraries, to encourage a collaborative learning environment. If this minimum requirement is unmet, the instructor will cancel the workshop and notify the registrants via email.

If the registration requirement is met, access information will be emailed to the registrants in advance of the training.

Patron Registration

The Basic Workflows Patron Registration Workshop covers the wizards related to searching for and registering patrons in Symphony WorkFlows for new library employees or seasoned employees who would like a refresher course. 

This workshop is intended for staff from full and basic online members of the Resource Sharing Alliance, NFP.

Circulation


The Basic Workflows Circulation Workshop covers the circulation module in Symphony WorkFlows for new library employees or seasoned employees who would like a refresher course. This workshop covers Circulation tasks such as Checkout, Checkin (Discharge), Renewals, and creating/paying Bills. It does not include the Patron Registration Wizards or Holds wizards.

Registration for this workshop is limited for staff from full and basic online members of the Resource Sharing Alliance, NFP.

Holds

The Basic Workflows Holds Workshop covers the wizards related to Holds in Symphony WorkFlows for new library employees or seasoned employees who would like a refresher course. 

This workshop is intended for staff from full and basic online members of the Resource Sharing Alliance, NFP.

BLUEcloud Analytics for Advanced Users

BLUEcloud Analytics (BCA) for RSA members wanting training as Advanced users. This is a more detailed look at additional features that you get from moving from Basic to Advanced authorization

This course requires attending a Basic training event and submitting PII forms from the library and staff to RSA. Please email the helpdesk with questions.

BLUEcloud Analytics for Basic Users

BLUEcloud Analytics (BCA) training for RSA members wanting to obtain an analytics login. This is a broad overview and serves to get users acquainted with BCA.

This is not a deep-dive into more complex reports or anything that exports personally identifiable information (PII) of patrons. For that, you will need to attend Advanced training after attending a Basic session.

Basic WorkFlows Cataloging

Through hands-on practice, learn how to use WorkFlows to catalog items in a variety of formats, create brief records, perform global item edits, and use the discard account. For more information, please see the Basic WorkFlows Cataloging Workshop page.

Bibload Workshop

Learn how to use OCLC Connexion Client to make bibliographic records usable for RSA, including how to add library-specific call number/item information to the records, export them from the Client in the correct format, and load them into WorkFlows so they are visible in the RSAcat. Item Group Editor Training

This training focuses on how to use the WorkFlows Item Group Editor wizard to search for a group of items in your collection and then make changes to item-level information (e.g., home location, item type, item categories 4-5) in a single batch.
