RSA has cataloged our collection of Ellison die shapes and they can be found in RSAcat and WorkFlows.

- The complete list of RSA’s die collection is posted here (revised Dec 8, 2023). You can also see what’s available now from this search result.
- For many of the dies listed, links to a picture of what they look like are included. If you search by the title of a die shape in WorkFlows or the RSAcat, you can click on a hyperlink, found on either the bibliographic tab in WorkFlows or on the item details page in the RSAcat, to view that die’s description online. Most, but not all, die shape records include links to help you preview the die before you request it from RSA.
- Duplicate shapes may be kept by your library, depending on availability.

Cataloging Guide
If your library would like to create brief records for your own die shapes or die collections to make them visible in WorkFlows and the RSAcat, there is a guide available here.
Rules for Borrowing
- Library staff (but no library users, please) are invited to check out die shapes for 21 days with no renewals for up to five die shapes. Holds are blocked on the RSA die shapes, but if library staff is interested in borrowing any of them, please contact Patty Kweram via the RSA Help Desk () with a subject heading Attention Patty or call 1-866-940-4083. Requested die shapes will be sent via RAILS delivery. It is required that the die shapes return in the envelopes they are sent out in.
Other Info
- Die shapes can be used at the RAILS East Peoria Service Center. You will need to contact Patty to set up an appointment as well as bring the paper you will need.
- If your library is located further than half an hour driving distance (one way) from the RAILS East Peoria office, and you would like specific die shapes cut, but you cannot visit the RAILS office to cut them in-person, please contact Patty. The shapes can be cut for you if you send, via RAILS delivery, the paper to be used for the shapes, as well as instructions about the specific shapes to use and how many you need cut. Please make sure you send the paper in a durable envelope that cannot be easily bent in RAILS delivery. Before sending the paper, please contact Patty. Once the shapes are cut, they will be sent back to you in your original envelope via RAILS delivery. Up to a week turnaround time, which excludes delivery time, may be necessary.
